Tom Feise Through Jim Chandler, I met the man who was to become our first webmaster and who designed and made the 455th website. Jim Chandler told me about a man who lived in Norfolk England and who was a WWII buff on the men stationed in and around Norfolk in WWII. I wrote to him first about help in finding a long lost relative possibly still living there and about my father who was stationed there. I received a reply and with that we began a friendship. I traveled to Watton for a brief visit in March of 1999 and saw many memorials dedicated to troops stationed there back in WWII. I decided that it wasn't fair for the 455th not to have one too. So, when I went back to the USA, I began efforts to raise money to erect one right on the area where they once guarded the English skies. Through the help of Tom, Tony, and Tracey and of contributors here in the USA, our efforts were rewarded with a trip consisting of Veterans and their families back to England for the memorial dedication in June of 2000. We owe a debt of gratitude to Tom for helping to make the 455th known throughout the world.
